The Future of Mens Skin Care
With a growing number of men spending more time in front of the mirror and more money from their wallets to look and feel younger, what is the future of mens skincare? Will men ten years from now be sitting in front of their own vanity next to their wives with more bottles and jars of goop and make-up on their table tops? Or will men continue to be the way there are now...thinking skin care is not that important and a waste of hard earned money and will put moisturizer or sunscreen on only when their wives continue to nag them to do so?
There are two trends that I am predicting will happen:
1. Men will frequent spas more often on a regular basis not just to get sports massages but for detox and skin care maintenance facials. A good facial has long lasting positive effects on ones complexion. This is why women get them. With more education reaching out to men these days about proper skincare maintenance and what preventative measures they can take against aging such as the daily use of facial sunscreens men will see the need to spend time at a spa. The best facial I ever got kept my skin glowing for two weeks. With results like that, who wouldn't want to get a performance facial?
2. More mens skin care brands, especially the niche mens luxury brands, will develop spa specific treatments for men (ie. Facial spa treatments for men.....).
So not only will high end brands present at your local upscale department store have retail skin care products for sale, but they will also have in their retail lineup developed specific male spa treatments for professional use at five star spas around the world. Some luxury mens skin care brands like TwinLuxe have professional sized products for spa back bar use already but the trend will be that all brands wanting to participate in the future growth of the hot mens cosmetics sector must have a spa professional treatment associated with their range to show their customers. The reason being is that if your products can be used as part of a professional facial routine it must mean that the products give great efficacy results and actually work unlike a lot of the garbage products that are out on the market.
The future of mens skin care is limitless. I don't foresee men wearing as much make up as women do but mark my words that the dominating mens skin care brands in the future will all have strong professional use products and male specific spa treatments in their arsenal.
